Chapter 1: The family signs up

9 steps · Rosa signs Maya up in Spanish on the family's one phone, with no card. Consent, what she'll see, the mentors, a sponsored place and paying by check.

  1. Step 1 of 9: Rosa finds Heirith

    Narration
Rosa lives near Clearfork. A friend tells her about Heirith. She opens the page for families on her phone, in Spanish. No school is in the middle: families sign up directly.
    Screens
    • Rosa's phone: signed out, /families (always in Spanish)
    What to click
Nothing to click. Press Next when you're ready.
    What should happen
Rosa's phone shows the page for families in Spanish ("Para familias"). No school is mentioned.
  2. Step 2 of 9: A name and a phone number. That's it.

    Narration
Rosa signs Maya up herself. She types her name and the family's phone number. Email is optional, and nobody asks for a card. In the demo, the code shows on screen instead of arriving by text.
    Screens
    • Rosa's phone: signed out, /enrol (always in Spanish)
    What to click
Nothing to click. Press Next when you're ready.
    What should happen
Rosa's phone shows the sign-up form in Spanish: a name and a phone number, email optional, and no card field.
  3. Narration
Each permission is its own question, in plain words. Optional ones start unchecked. Rosa can change any of them later, and she keeps a copy of what she agreed to.
    Screens
    • Rosa's phone: signed out, /enrol/consent (always in Spanish)
    What to click
Nothing to click. Press Next when you're ready.
    What should happen
Rosa's phone shows "Su consentimiento": one question for each permission, and every box starts unchecked.
  4. Step 4 of 9: A person checks, not the software

    Narration
Rosa sends it. Janet, the chapter lead, sees it on her screen. She checks that Rosa is Maya's parent, then clicks Confirm herself. Try it: click Confirm on Janet's screen.
    Screens
    • Rosa's phone: signed out, /enrol/done (always in Spanish)
    • Janet's console (chapter lead): /staff/enrolments
    What to click
Janet's console: click "Confirm Rosa Reyes (FICTIONAL) as guardian". On a phone, first tap "Show the other side".
    What should happen
Rosa's phone says thank you ("Gracias"). After the click, Janet's console says Confirmed.
  5. Step 5 of 9: One phone, two profiles

    Narration
A few weeks later, Maya has a place in the Monday crew. The family shares one phone. Rosa and Maya each have their own profile, and each one sees only their own things. From here on, Rosa's screens follow the language of this tour.
    Screens
    • Rosa's profile on the family phone: /family
    • Maya's profile on the same phone: /teen
    What to click
Nothing to click. Press Next when you're ready.
    What should happen
One phone, two profiles: "Viewing as Rosa Reyes" on one side and "Viewing as Maya" on the other.
  6. Step 6 of 9: Rosa knows what she'll see

    Narration
Maya is 15, so Rosa sees her session notes and her Vault. At 16, Maya decides what to share. At 18, it's Maya's alone. Both of them see the same rule on their own screens.
    Screens
    • Rosa's phone: /family/consents
    • Maya's screen: /teen/vault
    What to click
Nothing to click. Press Next when you're ready.
    What should happen
Rosa's phone shows "What you'll see" for a 15-year-old. Maya's screen shows her Vault.
  7. Step 7 of 9: Meet the mentor and the backup

    Narration
Before the first night, Rosa meets Maya's mentor, Carla, and the backup lead, Pastor Lee. Both are 30 or older, background-checked and certified. A second adult is at every session. Carla sees the same crew from her side.
    Screens
    • Rosa's phone: /family/mentors
    • Carla's phone (mentor): /crew
    What to click
Nothing to click. Press Next when you're ready.
    What should happen
Rosa's phone names Carla, the mentor, and Pastor Lee, the backup lead. Carla's phone shows the Monday crew.
  8. Step 8 of 9: A sponsored place, decided by a person

    Narration
Rosa's screen shows the price of Maya's place, marked "test price". She asks, privately, for help with part of it. Janet decides how much sponsors' money covers. Sponsors never see who. Try it: answer Rosa's request on Janet's screen.
    Screens
    • Rosa's phone: /family/payments
    • Janet's console (chapter lead): /staff/money
    What to click
Janet's console: on Maya's request, choose "Cover part", type an amount (for example 1400) and click "Record decision".
    What should happen
Rosa's phone updates on its own and shows the amount sponsors cover. Every price says "test price".
  9. Step 9 of 9: What's left, paid by check

    Narration
Rosa sees what's left after the sponsorship and pays it by check. There is no card field anywhere. In the demo nothing is charged; in real life, staff record the check when it arrives.
    Screens
    • Rosa's phone: /family/payments
    • Janet's console (chapter lead): /staff/money
    What to click
Rosa's phone: leave "By check" selected, type an amount and click "Record simulated payment".
    What should happen
Rosa's phone says the simulated payment was recorded and nothing was charged. There is no card field.

Chapter 2: Rides, and a driver cancels

6 steps · The ride plan, picked up and arrived, then a driver cancels: blocked, a substitute, confirmed again, with the parent's text side by side.

  1. Step 1 of 6: Maya's rides, planned

    Narration
Rosa has no car free on Monday nights, so Heirith drives Maya, and nobody asked her why. Ruth drives. Nora, a crew helper, rides along. Two screened adults are on every ride, from the first pickup to the last drop-off. On Janet's screen, each ride passes every check.
    Screens
    • Rosa's phone: /family/schedule
    • Janet's console (chapter lead): /staff/transport
    What to click
Nothing to click. Press Next when you're ready.
    What should happen
Rosa's phone shows the Monday rides: Ruth drives and Nora rides along. On Janet's console each ride passes every check.
  2. Step 2 of 6: Picked up, and there

    Narration
It's the first Monday night. Rosa's phone shows when Maya was picked up and when she got to the session. She doesn't have to call anyone to find out.
    Screens
    • Rosa's phone: /family/schedule
    • Janet's console (chapter lead): /staff/transport
    What to click
Nothing to click. Press Next when you're ready.
    What should happen
Rosa's phone shows when Maya was picked up and when she arrived.
  3. Step 3 of 6: The driver can't come

    Narration
A week later, Ruth's van won't start. Maya's ride goes back to "finding a new driver" and can't count as confirmed. Nora can't take Maya alone: one adult with one teen is never allowed, on any part of a ride. Janet's screen says so, and she gets an urgent task.
    Screens
    • Rosa's phone: /family/schedule
    • Janet's console (chapter lead): /staff/transport
    What to click
Nothing to click. Press Next when you're ready.
    What should happen
Maya's ride says it is finding a new driver. Janet's console shows it blocked (one adult would be alone with one teen) and an urgent task.
  4. Step 4 of 6: Rosa gets a text

    Narration
Rosa said yes to texts about sessions, so Heirith texts her right away, in plain words. This demo never sends a real text: it stays in this outbox. Try it: mark Rosa's text as delivered. If a text fails, a person gets a task to call her.
    Screens
    • Rosa's phone: /family/schedule
    • Heirith's text outbox (demo: nothing is sent): /staff/outbox
    What to click
Text outbox: on Rosa's text, click "Provider: delivered".
    What should happen
Rosa's text shows as delivered. Nothing leaves the demo.
  5. Step 5 of 6: A person picks the new driver

    Narration
The app lists only approved drivers. It doesn't choose: Janet does. Try it: on Janet's screen, choose Gus and click Assign driver. Rosa's phone shows the new driver's name.
    Screens
    • Rosa's phone: /family/schedule
    • Janet's console (chapter lead): /staff/transport
    What to click
Janet's console: choose Gus, then click "Assign driver".
    What should happen
Rosa's phone shows Gus as the new driver.
  6. Step 6 of 6: Confirmed again, before pickup

    Narration
Gus drives and Nora still rides along, so two adults are on board again. Try it: click Confirm ride on Janet's screen. The ride passes every check, and Rosa's phone shows it confirmed, hours before pickup.
    Screens
    • Rosa's phone: /family/schedule
    • Janet's console (chapter lead): /staff/transport
    What to click
    Janet's console: click "Confirm ride".
    What should happen
The ride passes every check, and Rosa's phone shows it confirmed.

Chapter 3: A teen's season and the crew lead

7 steps · A pathway pick, a week 4 experience, the Vault, a two-adult check-in, and a note draft the lead checks and approves.

  1. Step 1 of 7: Maya picks her pathway

    Narration
It's the first week of the season. Maya chooses one of six pathways for the season herself. Each one is explained in plain words, in English and Spanish. She can change her mind in the first two weeks; after that, her crew lead helps. Try it: on Maya's screen, pick Make and Build.
    Screens
    • Maya's screen: /teen/season
    What to click
Maya's screen: on "Make and Build", click "Pick this pathway".
    What should happen
Maya's season shows Make and Build as her pathway.
  2. Step 2 of 7: Week 4 is an experience

    Narration
In week 4 the crew visits Hollis Machine Works, a local business that hosts. Maya's season shows where, and Rosa sees the same night on her home screen. The visit gets the same checks as any crew night: the venue is open, its safety check is current, two adults are there, and no more than 4 teens are at the venue. Under 16, teens watch and ask questions at a host's site.
    Screens
    • Maya's screen: /teen/season
    • Rosa's phone: /family
    What to click
Nothing to click. Press Next when you're ready.
    What should happen
Maya's season and Rosa's home screen both show week 4 at Hollis Machine Works.
  3. Step 3 of 7: Two adults check in

    Narration
It's 5:20 pm at the shop. Carla, the crew lead, has checked in on her phone. Sam, the crew helper, is the second adult. Attendance stays closed until both have checked in, so no adult is ever alone with the teens. Try it: on Sam's phone, tap "I'm here". Then Carla can take attendance.
    Screens
    • Carla's phone (mentor): /crew
    • Sam's phone (helper, the second adult): /crew
    What to click
Sam's phone: click "I'm here (check in)". Then, on Carla's phone, attendance opens.
    What should happen
Before Sam checks in, Carla's attendance is closed. After, both adults are in and Carla can take attendance.
  4. Step 4 of 7: Maya keeps it in her Vault

    Narration
After the visit, Maya adds what she learned to her Vault: her own record of her work, sources and next steps. She marks where it came from: a host. Maya is 15, so Rosa can see her Vault. From 16, Maya chooses what her family sees. There are no likes, points or scores here.
    Screens
    • Maya's screen: /teen/vault
    • Rosa's phone: /family
    What to click
Nothing to click. Press Next when you're ready.
    What should happen
Maya's Vault shows what she learned, marked as from a host. Rosa's home screen shows it too (Maya is 15).
  5. Step 5 of 7: Carla's quick notes become a draft

    Narration
Carla jots a few quick notes, and AI turns them into a draft note. Before anything goes to the AI, names are cut to first names, and anything about health or safety is left out. The draft is labeled "AI draft", and only Carla can see it. Maya's screen shows no note. Try it: read the draft, fix anything, click "Use this draft", then "Send for approval".
    Screens
    • Carla's phone (mentor): /crew
    • Maya's screen: /teen
    What to click
Carla's phone: read the draft, click "Use this draft", then "Send for approval".
    What should happen
Carla's phone shows the draft labeled "AI draft". Maya's screen shows no note.
  6. Step 6 of 7: Someone else approves it

    Narration
Carla has used the draft and sent the note. A different person must approve it before Maya or her family can see it. Here, that's Pastor Lee, the crew's backup lead. Maya's screen still shows no note. Try it: on Pastor Lee's phone, click Approve. Maya's screen updates.
    Screens
    • Pastor Lee's phone (backup lead): /crew
    • Maya's screen: /teen
    What to click
    Pastor Lee's phone: click "Approve".
    What should happen
After the click, Maya's screen updates on its own.
  7. Step 7 of 7: Now Maya sees the note

    Narration
The next morning, Maya sees the note. It says it was drafted with AI help and checked by Carla, and that Pastor Lee approved it. If something is wrong, "Report a wrong answer" is right there. Maya is 15, so Rosa sees the note too. Rosa's copy names other teens by first name only, and it doesn't name Jo or Avery at all: they are 17, so the note says "other teens". Teens never talk to AI, and nothing an AI writes reaches them until a named adult approves it.
    Screens
    • Maya's screen: /teen
    • Rosa's phone: /family
    What to click
Nothing to click. Press Next when you're ready.
    What should happen
Maya and Rosa see the note, "checked by Carla, approved by Pastor Lee", with "Report a wrong answer". Maya's copy names Jo and Avery; Rosa's copy says "other teens".

Chapter 4: Safety, sponsors and partners

6 steps · "I'm worried" reaches the safety lead, a partner refers a family, and a sponsor report shows what it covers and what it doesn't show.

  1. Step 1 of 6: Maya taps "I'm worried"

    Narration
It's a Thursday evening, and something online is bothering Maya. "Get help" sits in the same place on every screen she uses. "I'm worried" puts 911 and 988 first. A few words in her own language are all she has to write; everything else is optional.
    Screens
    • Maya's screen: /worried
    What to click
Nothing to click. Press Next when you're ready.
    What should happen
Maya's screen shows 911 and 988 first, then one box for a few words.
  2. Step 2 of 6: It reaches the safety lead

    Narration
Maya sends it. Staff are on duty tonight, so her screen says someone will read it soon, and the person on duty is paged. Morgan, the deputy safety lead, sees it on her console. The software routes it and keeps the time; a person decides what happens next. Only the safety leads can read what Maya wrote. Sponsors and partners never see a concern. Try it: click Acknowledge on Morgan's screen.
    Screens
    • Maya's screen: /worried
    • Morgan's console (deputy safety lead): /staff/safeguarding
    What to click
Morgan's console: on Maya's concern, click "Acknowledge".
    What should happen
Maya's screen says staff are on duty and will see it soon. Morgan's console shows the concern as acknowledged.
  3. Step 3 of 6: A pastor refers a family

    Narration
Pastor Joel at Grace Fellowship knows a family who might like Heirith. With their OK, he sends a name and a phone number. That's all: no school records, no birth date. A referral never signs a teen up.
    Screens
    • Pastor Joel's phone (Grace Fellowship): /partner/referrals
    What to click
Nothing to click. Press Next when you're ready.
    What should happen
Pastor Joel's phone shows the referral form: a name and a phone number, nothing more.
  4. Step 4 of 6: Heirith calls the family. The family decides.

    Narration
Janet, the chapter lead, sees the referral and calls the family herself. If they want to join, she sends them a link, and the parent or guardian signs their teen up. Pastor Joel only ever sees "Received" or "Closed", never the family's details. Try it: click "I reached the family" on Janet's screen.
    Screens
    • Pastor Joel's phone (Grace Fellowship): /partner/referrals
    • Janet's console (chapter lead): /staff/referrals
    What to click
Janet's console: click "I reached the family".
    What should happen
Pastor Joel's phone shows only the referral's status, never the family's details.
  5. Step 5 of 6: Sponsor money moves after a person checks

    Narration
Walt's co-op paid for sponsored places. That money is held for those places. It is drawn down only after a session is delivered, with both adults checked in and out, and a named person verifies it. Try it: on Janet's screen, click Verify delivered for the Monday crew. Walt's screen updates, in money only.
    Screens
    • Walt's screen (sponsor, Clearfork Farmers Co-op): /partner
    • Janet's console (chapter lead): /staff/money
    What to click
Janet's console: on the Monday crew, click "Verify delivered".
    What should happen
Walt's screen updates on its own, in money only: no names.
  6. Step 6 of 6: What a sponsor never sees

    Narration
Walt sees totals, never a teen: no names, photos, schools, or who came to a session, and never which teen lives in which town (a count by town shows only when enough teens are in it). A report reaches a sponsor only after a named person approves it, and none has been released to Walt yet. Any number small enough to point to one teen shows as "Fewer than" instead. The report says plainly what it doesn't show.
    Screens
    • Walt's screen (sponsor, Clearfork Farmers Co-op): /partner/impact
    What to click
Nothing to click. Press Next when you're ready.
    What should happen
Walt's report says what it doesn't show. Small numbers show as "Fewer than".
